This is the Peasant to Princess series! A new series that mixes the bachelor, the YA books Selection, and tosses in some paranormal comedy for the fun of it.

Attempt #1 of getting married=assassination attempt. Not me, the king. He was pressured to get married and a nobleman put forth a candidate that was an assassin. He survived but now he is using the ancient method of drafting...not the army kind.

Basically all our personal information and a picture are sent to the king's advisors and they pick 50 girls to go to the palace and the nobles and king choose brides. Fresh blood in a stale upper class.

The king has zeroed in on me but I am no pushover. I could care less about being Queen. But you bet I will be using this chance to get the issues we commoners face across to those stuffy upper-class citizens.

If only I could get the king and his sister to stop pressuring me to take the mantle of Queen this could be a nice little winter vacation for me.

Now our King is freaking out because if war happens he has no heir. And since the vampire King found such a spirited and dedicated queen with the peasant draft he decided he would take a similar route. I will get chosen.

If I have to lie, cheat, and push the other candidates out one by one I will make it to the throne. It is the only option I have left and I will not lose it. Nice girls finish last...good thing I am not that nice.
